Ryan Sparacino serves as the General Counsel of Veretus. He focuses on complex high-stakes internal, civil, and criminal-facing investigations in which the U.S. government is or may become involved. He has spent his career honing these skills by working on sensitive matters in challenging overseas jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
As GC of Veretus, Mr. Sparacino draws upon a range of prior professional experiences to ensure that the Company’s clients receive consistently excellent service, always tailored to the needs of the client.
Prior to Veretus, Mr. Sparacino was a licensed private detective and led the D.C. office of an elite global private investigations firm. He has led comprehensive field investigations, anti-bribery reviews, due diligence inquiries, sophisticated background investigations, digital forensic matters and detailed international strategic intelligence assignments.
Mr. Sparacino has also worked as an investigations-oriented attorney at Winston & Strawn LLP and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, two large global law firms. In such capacity, he served as part of victorious criminal and civil trial teams, led or helped manage investigations concerning the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, public corruption, securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, the False Claims Act, health care fraud, whistleblower claims, and national security matters relating to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Mr. Sparacino is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he was a two-time college national debate champion (National Debate Tournament, 1998 & 1999). Mr. Sparacino received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
