Managing Director, London
Dustin Lee is based in London, England and serves as the Managing Director of Veretus’s UK office. While he is no longer a practicing lawyer, Mr. Lee previously represented companies, business owners, officers, individuals, and health care providers in a variety of civil and criminal matters, internal investigations, and enforcement actions brought by state and federal regulators during his fifteen-year legal career.
Prior to joining Veretus, Mr. Lee was a partner at Dallas-based Ryan Law Partners LLP and a senior litigator at a law firm in New England, where he tried cases in state and federal courts on issues ranging from theft of patient health information, data protection, billing fraud, HIPAA breaches, trade secret misappropriation, violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and trade name disputes. Mr. Lee has experience in False Claims Act, Medicare and Medicaid fraud and overpayment, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, non-competition agreements, defamation, business torts, breach of contract, deceptive trade practices, and UCC matters.
From 2004 to 2011, Mr. Lee worked in the Washington, D.C. office of Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, where his practice focused on securities litigation and enforcement, internal investigations, complex civil litigation, and white-collar criminal defense. After graduating from Princeton University in 1999, Mr. Lee worked as an Investigative Analyst in the Rackets Bureau of the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted prosecutors in grand jury investigations of organized crime matters. Mr. Lee earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in May 2004.
